Men's Ministries At-A-Glance

Men’s Day Center, open weekdays from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Mon. Tues. Weds. Thurs.) 6:00 to noon on Friday offers:

  • Early morning coffee hour (6:00-8:00AM)
  • Life Recovery Program -Twelve-step meetings 7:00-8:15AM M-F; Step Workshop 1:00 - 2:30 PM Thurs.; Private consultation and mentoring
  • Home Base Program - phone/fax/message service, emergency storage locker, document storage, ID acquisition, savings bank
  • Job Readiness Program - online computer lab, volunteer job coaches and mentors, individual case management, financial assitance
  • Consultation, Mentoring and Resources
  • Consultation and referral services

Men’s Housing Program - (Location & Staff) is designed to help motivated, employed homeless men re-establish themselves as independent, self-supporting members of our society, able to assume their responsibilities to their families, co-workers, and friends. The program is divided into three phases:

  • Six week Worker’s Shelter for those who have found employment  or who are looking for employment through Friendship House’s Job Readiness Program
  • One-hundred eighty day transitional housing program for graduates of ninety day program
  • Ongoing support to those who have graduated from the program  

 Andrew's Place: Emergency shelter to homeless men

  • Short-term emergency shelter for recent graduates of residential rehabilitation programs
  •  Long-term emergency shelter for elderly and disabled homeless men

Weekend Programs - (Location & Staff)

  • Winter Sanctuary, November Thru March
            Saturday:    1st & Central Presbyterian Church 7:00-11:30AM
            Sunday:       Trinity Episcopal Church, 8:00 AM -- Noon
                                  
  • Sunday morning breakfast, Episcopal Church of Sts. Andrew and Matthew 5:30-8:00AM
